Craig has been a DSUA member since 2018 and currently is the Maintenance Superintendent at AEP/SWEPCO John W. Turk Power Plant. Craig began his career in 1978 at the Welsh Power Plant progressing through operation to the position of Assistant Shift Supervisor. In 1991 Craig transferred to the Wilkes Power Plant as a Shift Supervisor and assumed the role of Maintenance Supervisor in 2001. In 2010 Craig transferred to the under construction John Turk Power Plant as the Maintenance Superintendent. Craig worked with construction, startup and commissioning and also staffed the maintenance department for the December 2012 commercial operation of the Ultra Supercritical facility. In 2013 Craig was awarded the President‘s “Key Contributor Award” for his efforts in the startup and commissioning of the plant, in 2019 Craig and team was the recipient of “EPRI Generation Technology Transfer” award for the work they did for ‘Life Management of 9% Cr Creep Strength Enhanced Ferritic Steels”.
