After learning about the DSUA from a plant in Nebraska, Dan attended his first DSUA annual conference in Gainesville, Florida and has been active ever since. He served as a Conference Director for the 2017 year, and was elected to serve as President for 2018. Professionally, Dan is the Director of Business Development for Duromar Repair & Maintenance Coatings. He has been heavily involved in the industry of corrosion and erosion mitigation within coal and solid fuels power plants for 10 years. Dan is most notably involved in the inspection and protection of Air Quality Control Systems represented within the DSUA. Dan is an Affiliate Member of The American Society of Civil Engineers. He was elected to the executive committee for all of ASTM D33, and is the Vice-chairman of technical sub-committees D33.09 on Protective Coatings for AQCS as well as D33.13 on Protective Coatings and Linings for Hydroelectric Power Generation Facilities. Dan graduated from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), in Oxford, MS. Dan is an active member of The Society for Protective Coatings and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and is a Certified Level III Inspector, as well as Nuclear Coating Inspector from both NACE and EPRI.
