Wes Painter has been a member of the DSUA since 2017 when I attended my first conference in Philadelphia PA. I am a 2004 Graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I worked at United Chemi-Con in Lansing North Carolina and Strongwell Corporation in Bristol Virginia before I joined Eastman Chemical Company in 2006. I spent my first 10 years at Eastman in the Acetate Fibers Division where I supported the manufacture of cellulose acetate fibers.
In 2016 I moved to the Utilities Division where I support the onsite powerhouses. My first assignment was to support the conversion of our heritage coal fired boilers to utilize natural gas. I am now responsible for the two coal fired boilers in the Building 325 powerhouse. Along with the boilers, I am responsible for the auxiliary equipment that support the boiler operation as well as the air quality control equipment.
I reside in Fall Branch, TN with my wife and two children. I enjoy working on vintage vehicles and outdoor activities in my spare time.
