Shawn Veurink

Shawn M. Veurink, is a South Dakota native and a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines & Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1994.  After graduating college, Shawn worked for Schlumberger Well Services as a Field Engineer in Texas and Louisiana from 1994-1995.  Shawn returned to Rapid City as an Engineer for RPM & Associates working with coal fired power plants. In 1996, Shawn became a Co-Founder of RPM Solutions which manufactures Flue Gas Desulfurization Components and holds two patents. In 2013, Shawn became a shareholder in RPM Innovations which specializes in laser welded free form fabrication for the space and aerospace industries. Some of Shawn’s professional and civic duties include the Dry Scrubber Users Association as Treasurer in training in 2011-2012, Treasurer from 2013-2014, and President from 2015-2016.  Shawn serves on advisory boards for the Department of Material and Metallurgical Engineering along with the Accreditation Board for Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. Shawn is an Advisory Board Member for Industrial Machinist Program and Welding & Fabrication Program at Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City. Other organizations include Society of Automotive Engineers, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Theta Tau National Professional Engineering Fraternity, Harley Owners Group, Kids & Chrome Children’s Charity, Black Hills Motorcycle Show, and Colonial Pine Hills Sanitary District.
