Travis has been active with DSUA since 2008 and on the board since 2019. He joined Alstom Power as a college intern during his Junior year at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He was hired full time after graduation in 2006, which was at tail end of the SCR spike and at the height of the DFGD boom in the US. He would volunteer for every field startup opportunity that came available to try and shorten the learning curve. That hands-on experience paired well with his prior experience as a plant operator at a small local utility in East Tennessee where he worked for 9 years while attending college. After 18 years with Alstom/GE Power, Travis joined Lhoist North America in May 2023 as a Business Development Manager FGT. This change allowed him to get back to the roots of what he enjoyed the most during the previous 18 years, which was building relationships and helping customers solve challenges. When not working on Flue Gas Treatment applications and supporting customers, he can be found on his multi-generational family farm tending multiple gardens, working on tractors, fishing, hunting, or doing whatever else that day presents.
